So why do some still party like it's 1959? Somebody, please, send the DuPage Election Commission a 2005 calendar.

Apparently there are some in public service who still think it's 1959 and some like Fidel Castro who don't care. The Freedom of Information Act did not become U.S. law until 1966.

Description: DuPage County Election Commission as reported by the Bloomingdale Press, Bloomingdale. Scott Kilbort believed that there were suspicious activities reported at precincts during the April 5, 2005, consolidated election and he wanted to check on those claims. He filed a FOI request with the Election Commission on May 6 to inspect documents related to the election, but the Election Commission Executive Director Robert Saar denied Kilbort’s request, claiming items such as specific voter ballot results, absentee ballot requests and other voter registration information are exempt from public information. Note to Mr. Saar, a review of the Election Code would have revealed that the public has the right to review ballots, absentee ballot applications, voter registration records and poll signature cards.

Send calendars, maps and a copy of the constitution.
If the request by the citizen requested any information that identified a person and for whom they voted, Sarr had every right to turn down that request. That's all we need is people knowing who voted for whom. All other info should be released
The White Sox did not clinch a division in 1959. Divisional play in baseball did not start for another decade.
That would be the League Championship.
